We have generated this page to help our customers answer questions and get a feel for our restaurant and what we do. It is a work in progress. We will try to keep this as updated as possible. 


WHY ARE YOUR HOURS SO LIMITED?

Cameron and I, like many of you, are parents. We have two little girls that are the best thing to ever happen to us, so time with them is essential. We opted to close on Sundays to relish in that time with our family. It also gives our staff time with their families.

This business takes a lot out of you emotionally and physically so between all that we have going on, Sundays off are a must.

Our goal is to open occasionally on Sundays for special events. Those will be posted on our event page and our Facebook page. 


TO GO ORDERS:

If for some reason we cannot get to the phone and the VM kicks 1n please leave your name and a call back number and we will call you back as soon as we can.

**We will halt to go orders during peak hours (generally 6-8 pm) if we have a full house. This especially applies on Friday and Saturday evenings due to the volume of in-house business.

We do not take to go orders on major holidays if we are full of reservations.

We cook to order so the wait times can exceed two hours on some evenings. 


WHEN WILL THE PATIO OPEN?

Our patio opening depends on several factors including but not limited to: weather, staff and patio maintenance. Our goal is to open it at some point in the month of May (by Memorial weekend) through the end of August. Patio opening is up to owner discretion and will be posted to our Facebook page. 


HOW DO I MAKE A RESERVATION?

We have recently changed our reservation policies. After careful consideration of what our guests have expressed to us, the limited seating we have as well as the hectic summer months, we are only taking reservations for parties of 8 GUESTS OR MORE.

This new policy goes into effect on Tuesday, July 16th, 2019 until further notice. 

We have weighed several options for the reservation issue and this is our current plan. We much rather have people in, relaxing and enjoying themselves then staring at empty tables waiting to be filled. We will always do the best we can to accommodate everyone. CAN I MAKE A RESERVATION ON THE PATIO?

No. It is sat on a first come first serve basis.


DO YOU ACCEPT CALL AHEAD SEATING?

We are as of right now. We are still working on this type of system so your patience is greatly appreciated! 


WE HAVE A LARGE GROUP BUT WE HAVE TO BE ON THE MAIN LEVEL. IS THIS POSSIBLE?

That depends on the size. Groups over 10 guests have to be sat upstairs in our main dining area due to space constraints on the main level. Please keep in mind during the months it gets very warm upstairs so sometimes we do shut it down. LARGE GROUP GUIDELINES


I HAVE A LARGE GROUP I WANT TO BRING IN. HOW DO I MAKE A RESERVATION?

Groups over 12 guests need to email their reservation requests two weeks prior to the reservation in order for us to accommodate the group to the best of our ability. Groups over 15 guests we do require a set menu. Groups over 20 guests we do require a set PRE-ORDERED menu and a 30 day notice. For more information please see LARGE GROUP GUIDELINES


IF WE MAKE A RESERVATION FOR OUR GROUP, WILL WE BE RUSHED?

I know...it sounds like an odd question but it has been asked. We generally plan our reservations with a two-hour window (as most places do). This is adjusted depending on the size of your reservation. The last thing we want is to make anyone feel rushed. If you feel you would like more time please let that be known when making your reservation. 


WHAT TYPE OF PAYMENTS DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept CASH (we prefer it)! 

We accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover.

We do not accept checks (unless previously approved) 


DO YOU SERVE ALCOHOL?

We are a full service establishment (beer, wine, liquor and non-alcoholic beverages).

WE CARD! Please do not be upset if you get carded, you don't have your ID and you don't get served. Our staff is doing their job! 

Our staff has the right to refuse service to anyone with just cause. 


IS YOUR PATIO PET FRIENDLY?

Our patio is not pet-friendly per State of Michigan law. We do, of course, allow documented service animals anywhere on premise. 


ARE YOU KID FRIENDLY?

This always cracks us up! It seems funny to ask but very understandable. We are a restaurant not a bar so yes...we love the little ones! Kids can sit in the bar high tops but due to the nature of the bar environment, kids are only permitted up at the bar with manager and parental approval. As parents ourselves we know kids get restless and hard to handle sometimes. Please keep your kids under control. We are a restaurant not a playground. 


DO YOU HOST LIVE MUSIC?

At this point in time we do not. 


DO YOU HAVE A GLUTEN FREE MENU?

No we do not. Our comfort food entrees like gumbo are roux based. We do offer some items that are gluten free (steak, salmon...) as well as shrimp and grits. Please keep in mind although grits are supposed to be free of gluten we do not produce them here so if you're concerned please be advised. Our staff is pleased to make modifications if possible. 


WHY IS FAT CAM'S SO LOUD?

First, this is an old building. We tore everything out of it down to the cinder blocks and rebuilt it. Looking back now there are plenty of things we wished we would've done differently including implementing more sound proofing. We can't really fix that at the moment. We have tried panels, wood blinds, adding carpet...it all helps a bit but it is still a loud place. We will just keep trying.

Secondly, it is really loud when we peak for dinner hours between 6-8 p.m. on when we are full of customers. Fridays and Saturdays are crazy! We are well aware of it and do apologize. It's just how this place is. The best times to come in is between 4-6 p.m. or after 8 p.m. if you're wanting a more quiet time.  


DO YOU OFFER GIFT CARDS?

Yes we do! They are available in any denomination and have no expiration date. They are available IN HOUSE ONLY at this time. They are not offered on-line nor do we send them thru the mail. (We've had issues of lost cards). For those out of the area we will take payment over the phone and keep them back behind the bar to give to whom you choose. They just have to grab them.
